Laufing all the way…

Because of the excellent turn-out for the inaugural race St. Nik has agreed to race again!  Again, we expect him to be in excellent shape at the event as he was for the inaugural race!  Bring the whole family and also your best St. Nik outfit, as St. Nik again challenges all to beat him!  He continues to train at the Athenaeum YMCA!

This unique USATF sanctioned race is the very first for the holiday season and is a very unique event for runners, walkers, and families as the race starts and finishes at the historic and holiday decorated Das Deutsche Haus. If this is your second time racing against St. Nik you’ll enjoy the new race course; and if this is your first time racing against St. Nik you'll be the one to say you were willing to take on the big guy.  This soon-to-be annual tradition is undoubtedly expected to grow very fast!  You can expect a variety of race perks including:

· RFID state-of-the-art technology timing,

· Large prize giveaways and race perks for all [including free Adidas shoes],

· Holiday music [St Nik's greatest hits],

· Scenic course as we race towards the largest XMAS tree in the world,

· Awesome race shirt,

· Post race hot cocoa, and

· A warm building to gather in post-race.

· If you want a warm shower and cleanup after the race, the YMCA has opened its doors to a perk that no other race has to offer!  Come and see a race that is sure to be like no other.

The Athenaeum Foundation and the Indiana German Heritage Society are sponsoring this race which benefits the Greater Indianapolis YMCA Stronger Kids Campaign and Indianapolis’ Children of Lutherwood.  We also give great thanks to our sponsors and to St. Nik for agreeing to go along with our plan.  We will see you at the race.
